Q: What about reports? I need my reports my way; and when I want them.

A: Our web based software solution, Assetelite, is accessible 24/7 via any internet connected PC. The reports are completely customizable and can generate data for your use or as required by your financial report preparer. The reports are also OSC compliant.

Q: I make additions / deletions and location changes to my capital asset record during the year. Can you keep up with me?

A: OWG’s Checkpoint service is designed for that very purpose. We provide you with a simple, e-mail form that you send to us with any changes. Your record is updated with the change and you are ready to go. This service also provides updates to depreciation and replacement costs for insurable value on an annual basis.

Q: This sounds too good to be true. I can hire a consultant to take care of all my capital asset needs with minimal time from myself and my staff?

A: The only participation required by our clients is keeping us aware of any changes to their capital asset record such as additions and deletions. We take care of the rest, so go ahead and relax.

Q: Is it required that OWG performed an initial inventory in order for me to use your other services such as Assetelite and Checkpoint.

A: No, although we recommend an initial inventory to ensure accuracy. We can typically assimilate any current electronic asset record you currently have and get you set up with assetelite and checkpoint right away. At some point, a physical inventory will become prudent.

Q: How do you charge for your services?

A: Fees are typically based on the # of assets you would like us to account for. The existence of an electronic asset record we can assimilate, how much information on each asset you would like us to keep and your current capital asset policy are all factors in the fee structure. Assetelite is based on a flat rate per year and checkpoint is based on a % of the overall cost of an initial inventory. Once an initial inventory is completed, reinventories in years 3-5 are performed at a reduced cost (25% or more savings to you)

Q: Customer service is important to me. What do you have to say about that?

A: We are absolutely committed to customer service. As you can see by our products, we are establishing long term relationships with our clients and those relationships have to be built on superior customer service. Our services are timely and accurate with a 98% accuracy level of acceptability.

Q: What if I have been using another company to manage my assets?

A: Most likely, we can assimilate any competitor’s electronic asset record into our system, helping to keep your costs down. Once that record is assimilated, you can immediately begin to use checkpoint and assetelite. Of course, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any inventories performed by others. As soon as reasonably possible, OWG should perform an asset inventory to ensure the accuracy of the data.
